It is the glory of God to conceal things,

It is a glorious journey to seek out the things of God and to hear him for ourselves and to know Him. in community with a companion it seems we often gain clarity we sometimes miss alone. I love hearing God for myself but with others that joy is multiplied. Making space to listen and wonder and hear together never gets old. I have been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years walking with others, growing and learning together in discipleship. I’m currently serving as a deacon at Truro Anglican Church in Fairfax, Virginia. My husband and I have three grown children and love to spend time hiking, running, reading, walking the beaches nearby, connecting with our kids and our friends.

I am in a love affair with God, the Source of my life; with Jesus, the Lover of my soul; and with the Holy Spirit, the Power of God in me. The passion of my life has always been to create a holy space where individuals can encounter the living, transforming God. This passion came alive working most of my life in the ministry of worship through music and the arts. Now God has called me to use this passion in the surprisingly similar ministry of spiritual direction.

My ministry is called "Sacred Listening," a ministry of holy listening in a sacred space set aside for three of us - you, me, and the Holy Spirit. We sit together in silence, prayer, listening, and love, with the goal of greater intimacy with God, and the willingness to be transformed by His grace. The Holy Spirit is the primary Director. I listen with one ear to your heart, and the other ear to His Heart, discerning with you His presence and movement in your life, and encouraging you to recognize and respond to that movement.

I welcome into "Sacred Listening" anyone who desires a more intimate relationship with the living God, anyone who is in a time of transition, anyone who has questions. No questions are off limits here. Know that I have been through times of darkness and struggle in my life, and God has given me great compassion for others who face their own darkness and struggle. This sacred space is completely confidential and filled with mercy and grace.

My background is a foundation in Reformed theology through Calvin University; training in the person and work of the Holy Spirit through Dunamis, PRMI; and certification in Spiritual Direction from the Dominican Center, Grand Rapids, MI. I have a spiritual director myself, and I am also under peer group supervision. My favorite things include reading good books, walking in nature, and playing with grandchildren.

I love accompanying people in every stage of their journey with Jesus, helping them to find God in the events of everyday life. I am passionate about helping others find God’s unforced rhythms of grace because of my experience of burnout in full-time ministry. Also, with my background in nutrition and fitness, I love helping people in the care of their bodies as well as their souls. A part of my direction is with missionaries in different life stages, from initially going to the field to transitioning off the field. I also accompany ministry leaders, spiritual directors, and athletes. I am also certified to accompany children in direction having trained with Lacy Finn Borgo.

My initial direction training was with Sister Joan of the Queen of Angels Monastery in Mount Angel, Oregon (back when there were no programs for Protestants). I went on to do more training with Sustainable Faith to become a director and a trainer of directors. I currently train directors through Body and Soul Companion.

I am a trained Ignatian director and LOVE taking individuals and groups through the 19th and 18th Annotations of the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius. I have written my own manual and developed a YouTube channel that some use to aid in their daily meditations. My trainer was Mike Higgins, an Ignatian Director with 40 years of experience leading people through the Exercises through the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, Portland (SEEL PDX).

I am certified to teach on the Enneagram and accompany others in a transformational journey in the context of spiritual direction. Ann has a passion to serve leaders through spiritual direction, coaching, and wise consultation. Her Spiritual Formation and Direction Master's degree from Evangelical Theological Seminary, along with a coaching certificate from "Coaching 4 Clergy," and a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and Psychology from Towson University affords Ann the opportunity to champion leaders holistically.

She brings thirty-five years of life, leadership, and ministry experience to her practice. Ann worked extensively in co-vocational roles (church planting/occupational therapy) in inner-city Philadelphia, mentored, trained, and developed leaders as a missionary in Cusco, Peru, and currently is a partnering presence to local/rural and international church and business leaders from a variety of cultural groups. Ann is attuned to the intercultural issues and watching the movement of God in the difficult social milieu we face.

Ann serves folks from various Christian backgrounds from an orthodox Christian perspective. She encourages each one to participate fully in their local expression of the Bride of Christ. Her ministry is hospitable and grounded in biblical truth. She offers the historical Christian perspective around sacred topics such as spiritual dryness, mystical experiences, and serving neighbors. Ann is attuned to how God is spiritually forming each individual she hosts as well as how he is forming culture and community toward closeness with Jesus that is producing Christ-likeness in organizations.

Leadership development and coaching, along with the facilitation of discipleship and spiritual formation within churches and businesses, complements Ann's individual and group spiritual direction service. She accompanies both the contemplative and trailblazer in spiritual direction. Leaders benefit from Ann's spiritual direction approach as they excel personally and intentionally desire to integrate interactive connection with God into their church or organizational settings.

As a companion, Ann creates the environment to accompany you into the presence of God to connect, listen, and discern his leading and voice. The stage is set to experience God's presence through healing and creative invitation as you bring your heartfelt concerns and practical life issues to the direction session. Additionally and as needed, attention is given to life routines, spiritual exercises, and prayer practices that boost interaction with God in daily activities.

Ann sees inner healing as a branch of spiritual direction. Persons engaging in spiritual direction sometimes find places in their hearts that need restoration. This is especially true as we confront the disorganization, deconstruction, and health concerns in our world today. Ann facilitates an approach to inner healing that encourages direct interaction with Jesus around every difficulty and issue. Adequate connection with Jesus is always a priority.

Engaging with Ann may include:
1) Individual spiritual direction--one-on-one sessions focused on deepening a relationship and encounters with God
2) Group spiritual direction--Ann as a facilitator and three participants experiencing God's presence in discernment, listening, and invitation

In 2016, a friend encouraged me to consider spiritual direction, planting a seed that would later take root. After transitioning from a 24-year career and seeking God’s guidance, I discerned that spiritual direction was my calling.
I am passionate about coming alongside others wherever they are in their relationship with God, offering a listening ear and a prayerful presence. I was ordained in The Wesleyan Church in 2020. I completed a 2-year training course in spiritual direction at College Wesleyan Church in 2023. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry and Philosophy/Theology degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2017. In 2019, I received a Master of Practical Theology degree (MDiv equivalent) from the same institution. Presently, I serve as an Assistant Pastor who oversees discipleship and first impressions at Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indiana where I have worked since late 2017. After completing a spiritual formation program at the Transforming Center, Wheaton, IL (2009-2011), I trained as a spiritual director in the Franciscan Spirituality tradition at the Chiara Center, Springfield, IL (2013-2015). I also double-trained as a spiritual director and leader of the Ignatian Exercises in the Jesuit tradition through Loyola University Chicago (2020-2023). As an exercitant I have completed the Nineteenth Annotation of Ignatius Loyola.

I spent my entire career as a professional scientist in the biomedical sciences (1975-2013) and am currently Professor Emeritus of Physiology at Loyola University Chicago. I have expertise in neurophysiology, physics, mathematics, and astronomy.

I provide spiritual direction via Zoom or in-person through my local church, Christ Church of Oak Brook, and Loyola University Ministry, Maywood, IL. I continue as a directee under a trusted Jesuit spiritual director and am part of a 7-member peer-group supervision fellowship. I have trained in both the Traditional Enneagram and the Harmony Enneagram.

I've always had a desire to go deeper beneath the surface of things. To be curious about the why, how, and what of another person’s experience. To understand the heart of a matter.

After I began to follow Christ, this translated to my faith journey, as well. I wanted to go deeper with God, to really know his heart and to connect on a “feeling” level. There is great anchoring in knowing the truth of God’s character and His word, but without knowing how God feels about us, without being rooted and grounded in his love, knowledge about God remains just that: intellectual knowledge. But, the good news is that knowledge with experience can be transformational. Truth plus an encounter with God can become a point of transformation, of healing, of becoming.

After many years of working as a professional counselor in private practice, I began a 2 year training program with the Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction to become a spiritual director. I wanted to combine my ability to create a safe listening space for others with the desire to actively bring God’s presence into the conversation. To create space for others to encounter God in a fresh way, to help them listen to his voice of love, and to facilitate a deeper journey into God’s embrace.

After completing the program with Sustainable Faith in May 2019, I have found it to be incredibly meaningful to serve others with the ministry of spiritual direction. I've also enjoyed planning & facilitating group workshops that combine art & faith, which are designed to help participants engage with God through creative and contemplative practices.

I believe spiritual direction can be a life-giving experience, similar to what Christian psychiatrist Curt Thompson, MD, refers to as the experience of “knowing and being known.” It’s the practice of being present to the soul of another person, giving them freedom to discover their “true self” and explore who they really are. It’s the opportunity to be authentically heard and seen, while also being accepted and validated. In this way, a spiritual direction session becomes a sacred space to be heard, seen, known, and cared for, along with the awareness that God is present and active in our midst.

My style of spiritual direction is to listen intuitively to what's being said, both verbally and non-verbally. Sometimes I use expressive arts or mindfulness exercises to help people connect with their bodies and souls, which in turn helps bring integration between the mind and heart. Sometimes I use quiet music or a spiritual practice to help a directee tune in to what God might be saying in the present moment.

My goal is to create a space where you can listen to the sound of your soul, while also tuning into God’s heart. I also offer a free 20 minute consultation (via phone or Zoom) to determine if we would be a good fit to work together.

As a spiritual director, my desire is to help you become more aware of how God is weaving in and through your life. I grew up in a Christian family, but it wasn’t until college that I began to understand Jesus’ invitation to personal relationship. I have worked in teaching and business, and have more than 30 years of practical ministry experience in the local church. I’ve lived various places in in the US and traveled to a number of countries. These experiences have broadened my understanding of Jesus, of the spiritual life, and of the various ways God invites people into relationship.
I would be honored to come alongside you, to help you process what’s stirring within as you navigate your life crossroads and engage with God.
I am the Executive Director of a non-profit ministry, The Unfolding Soul, offering spiritual direction, ministry coaching and speaking. I live with my pastor husband, Bruce and enjoy time with my grown children and grandchildren. I thoroughly enjoy outdoor activities, creative endeavors, reading, and always a good cup of tea. I am available for sessions in person at my farmhouse in Oregon, or online via Zoom or the phone.

Peter is the host and curator of a retreat space in downtown Tulsa, OK. He is most passionate about helping others slow down so they can listen to the work of God within themselves. His work experience includes a wide variety of ministry settings from a large, downtown church staff to campus ministry to non-profit to corporate chaplaincy.

He is a graduate of Sustainable Faith's school of spiritual direction and is a certified advanced teacher in the Enneagram Spectrum Method. He is an ordained deacon in the Anglican Church of North America and has a DMin in contextual theology from Northern Seminary and an MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary.

I love Jesus with all my heart! As I walk this journey of being Jesus’s
disciple, from the grace of God the Holy Spirit is leading me in my
transformation to become more Christ-like. I am an imperfect human being,
yet I understand my belovedness. I want to walk alongside people in their
Christian spiritual journey. I want to help people grow closer to who they
were created to be and help deepen their relationship with God.
I have my Master’s in Spiritual Formation from George Fox-Portland
Seminary with a focus in Spiritual Direction.

My passion is to walk alongside those who want to experience deeper spiritual transformation in Christ. In Spiritual Direction, we create space together to be curious about God's movement in the Directee's life. Whether a Directee is just beginning their spiritual journey, growing deeper in new ways, or deconstructing old beliefs, Spiritual Direction is a time set aside from the bustle of life, to hear and discern what the Lord has to say.

God has created each of us as his Beloved, uniquely gifted child. Created in His image, we have a divine purpose that only we can fulfill. He is always inviting us into a deeper relationship with Himself and as we learn more about Him, we learn more about our true selves. In turn, as we learn more about our authentic selves, we learn more about God. Through spiritual practices such as Lectio Divina, Visio Divina, Ignatian prayer, breath prayers, nature walks, centering prayer and Immanuel journaling - we can connect our head, heart, body and spirit to hear God's voice in fresh ways.

I received my Spiritual Director's training through Denver Seminary's Christian Formation and Soul Care program and have been a Spiritual Director since 2013. I am also a certified Enneagram coach through Jerome Wagner's Enneagram Spectrum Training.

CHAPELWOOD provides respite, encouragement, and training to individuals, couples, and small groups.

I hold a Bachelor’s (Psychology), a Master’s (Theology), and a Doctorate (Spiritual Direction). Completed SoulFormation's Academy of Spiritual Formation and Direction (2nd Cohort), under the auspices of the NW District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA).

Ordained by the C&MA, I serve as Pastor of Care at Essex Alliance Church. I also provide individual spiritual direction on a limited basis and occasionally serve as a retreat facilitator.

Christina Wilking serves as a spiritual director in Charlotte, NC. She is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University majoring in Business Administration. While attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary she discovered her calling to become a spiritual director. She received her training through the Fairfield University four- year Spiritual Direction Formation Program. Christina also has received a Certificate from Sustainable Faith in Spiritual Direction Supervisory Training.

Christina served on staff at a large church for eighteen years as an assistant to the Senior Pastor and in addition served as a Hospital Chaplain, Pastoral Care Ministry Coordinator and as a Spiritual Director. In 2018, she started Wind and Breath Ministries to offer spiritual care to those who desire a deeper relationship with God and discern their next step in their faith journey. Christina specializes in helping those in ministry and non-profit organizations but her practice is open to all. She is available to meet in-person, by Zoom, and by phone. I like to describe myself as a traveling companion on the spiritual journey of life. My background includes an M.A. in Ministry, certification in Spiritual Direction, and over 20 years focused on the spiritual formation of children.

For me, Spiritual Direction is sacred conversation. I consider it a privilege to create space for you to share what is in your heart and on your mind.
