About Me

It is truly an honor to walk alongside individuals wherever they are in their spiritual journey, as they work through questions and issues relating to their life with God. I have a Masters of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation from Friends University in Wichita. My training also includes Larry Crabb's School of Spiritual Direction.

My background includes 25 plus years as a church lay leader in a variety of ministries over that time; Music and Kids Ministries, leading Women's Bible Studies and directing Women's Ministries. I've also served on church staff as Kids and Family Ministries Director for 6 years. God has used some great losses in my life to challenge my assumptions and cause me to search for Him in a deeper way, giving me a sensitivity to others grieving loss of any kind and searching for answers. While leading Women's Bible studies I found myself in conversations with women struggling with spiritual matters, but often felt inadequate to help them. I eventually sought more training to be able to better serve others.

Since 2014 I have been offering spiritual direction both individually and in group settings, through my church, at a Christian Counseling center, and in my home. Now my spiritual direction work is mostly virtual.

My husband Robert and I have been married for 38 years and have two talented, adult daughters. We have been members at St. George Orthodox Cathedral for the past 4 years.

My desire is to see people listen and respond to God in whatever season they find themselves. I offer retreats and spiritual direction, as well as team discernment in a variety of Church contexts. I received my MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from the Institute for Spiritual Formation in Southern California. I enjoy accompanying people who are working in the marketplace as well as in full time ministry.

I am married to John, and a mama to three fabulous little people, am learning to grow vegetables and to paint.

About Me

I received my Spiritual Direction training at the Institute for Spiritual Formation of Talbot School of Theology, Biola University where I graduated with my M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care . During that time I participated in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises (Nineteenth annotation) for two years. I also have a doctorate in Intercultural Education which empowers me to provide intercultural spiritual direction.

My own spiritual directors have continued to be my companions in my journey of faith and life. I experienced God's unconditional love and acceptance through them and have been called to, in turn, provide a safe space for others who are eager to discern God's will and experience His love. My training and education have enabled me to discern the Holy Spirit's guidance and how He may be inviting His children to come closer to Him and build a more intimate relationship with God and others. I enjoy helping people become increasingly aware of God's presence and the work of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives.

In my spare time I love playing table tennis and traveling with my family. I appreciate God's creation and seek Him in solitude and retreat as well as being with others. I offer in-person spiritual direction and remote direction via Zoom, FaceTime, WeChat, and Skype.

It is the glory of God to conceal things,

It is a glorious journey to seek out the things of God and to hear him for ourselves and to know Him. in community with a companion it seems we often gain clarity we sometimes miss alone. I love hearing God for myself but with others that joy is multiplied. Making space to listen and wonder and hear together never gets old. I have been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years walking with others, growing and learning together in discipleship. I’m currently on staff of Church of the Holy Cross, an Anglican church near Charleston SC where my husband is the rector. We have three grown children and love to spend time hiking, running, reading, walking the beaches nearby, connecting with our kids and our friends. I am currently not taking new directees.

Do you have many safe people in your life that you can talk about your deepest longings with? Your fears, your doubts, your experiences, or lack of experiences with God? I didn't and that's one thing that drew me to becoming a spiritual Director. I am passionate about people really learning to love God with their heart, mind and soul and feel confident in their ability to hear the divine 3 (Father, son, spirit). And having this space for myself is crucial to processing and moving forward into grace and purpose in my life.

I am from Sacramento California, but when I am stateside Orange County is home to me. I have lived overseas for the last 12 years (India, Thailand), leading teams and running an internship for language & cultural adaptation, as well as building relationships with Muslims. I have been married 20 years this year and have 4 kids ages 17-10. Trauma, abuse, & deconstruction are a few things in my story, which has led me on a healing journey that I like to extend to others. Being in leadership with Women's Ministry for the last 8 years has shaped my own leadership and journey "lower" and love to see more and more women (and men) stepping into gifts and freedom of their own. I have been trained at LTI's Selah Direction program and practicing Direction one on one and in groups since 2019. Spiritual formation has become a lifeline to my journey and discovering God in all things and many ways. I love sharing these lifegiving practices with people around me.

Other things I love are the beach, music, watercolor, writing, reading, snorkeling, volleyball, soccer, sunsets, charcuterie and wine, dark chocolate, coffee & matcha, repurposing old into new, and deep conversations.

Men and women may meet with me in person in Chiang Mai, Thailand, or online around the world for one-on-one direction, group direction, or for retreat resources.

I love companioning people in every stage of their journey with Jesus; helping them to find God in the events of their everyday lives. I am especially passionate about helping others to find God’s unforced rhythms of grace because of my own experience of burnout in full-time ministry. Also, with my background in nutrition and fitness, I love helping people in the care of their bodies as well as their souls. The biggest part of my direction is with missionaries in different life stages from initially going to the field to transitioning off the field. I also companion ministry leaders and spiritual directors.

I also speak and coach on the Enneagram with specializations in transformation via understanding the instinctual variants (subtypes) and Harmony Triads.

My initial direction training was with Sister Joan of the Queen of Angels Monastery in Mount Angel, Oregon back when there were no programs for protestants. I went on to do more training with Sustainable Faith.

Ann has a passion to serve leaders through spiritual direction, coaching, and wise consultation. Her Spiritual Formation and Direction Master's degree from Evangelical Theological Seminary, along with a coaching certificate from "Coaching 4 Clergy," and a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and Psychology from Towson University affords Ann the opportunity to champion leaders holistically.

After completing a spiritual formation program at the Transforming Center, Wheaton, IL (2009-2011), I trained as a spiritual director in the Franciscan Spirituality tradition at the Chiara Center, Springfield, IL (2013-2015). I also double-trained as a spiritual director and leader of the Ignatian Exercises in the Jesuit tradition through Loyola University Chicago (2020-2023). As an exercitant I have completed the Nineteenth Annotation of Ignatius Loyola.

I spent my entire career as a professional scientist in the biomedical sciences (1975-2013) and am currently Professor Emeritus of Physiology at Loyola University Chicago. I have expertise in neurophysiology, physics, mathematics, and astronomy.

I provide spiritual direction via Zoom or in-person through my local church, Christ Church of Oak Brook, and Loyola University Ministry, Maywood, IL. I continue as a directee under a trusted Jesuit spiritual director and am part of a 7-member peer-group supervision fellowship. I have trained in both the Traditional Enneagram and the Harmony Enneagram.

About Me

I've always had a desire to go deeper beneath the surface of things. To be curious about the why, how, and what of another person’s experience. To understand the heart of a matter.

After I began to follow Christ, this translated to my faith journey, as well. I wanted to go deeper with God, to really know his heart and to connect on a “feeling” level. There is great anchoring in knowing the truth of God’s character and His word, but without knowing how God feels about us, without being rooted and grounded in his love, knowledge about God remains just that: intellectual knowledge. But, the good news is that knowledge with experience can be transformational. Truth plus an encounter with God can become a point of transformation, of healing, of becoming.

After many years of working as a professional counselor in private practice, I began a 2 year training program with the Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction to become a spiritual director. I wanted to combine my ability to create a safe listening space for others with the desire to actively bring God’s presence into the conversation. To create space for others to encounter God in a fresh way, to help them listen to his voice of love, and to facilitate a deeper journey into God’s embrace.

After completing the program with Sustainable Faith in May 2019, I have found it to be incredibly meaningful to serve others with the ministry of spiritual direction. I've also enjoyed planning & facilitating group workshops that combine art & faith, which are designed to help participants engage with God through creative and contemplative practices.

I believe spiritual direction can be a life-giving experience, similar to what Christian psychiatrist Curt Thompson, MD, refers to as the experience of “knowing and being known.” It’s the practice of being present to the soul of another person, giving them freedom to discover their “true self” and explore who they really are. It’s the opportunity to be authentically heard and seen, while also being accepted and validated. In this way, a spiritual direction session becomes a sacred space to be heard, seen, known, and cared for, along with the awareness that God is present and active in our midst.

My style of spiritual direction is to listen intuitively to what's being said, both verbally and non-verbally. Sometimes I use expressive arts or mindfulness exercises to help people connect with their bodies and souls, which in turn helps bring integration between the mind and heart. Sometimes I use quiet music or a spiritual practice to help a directee tune in to what God might be saying in the present moment.

My goal is to create a space where you can listen to the sound of your soul, while also tuning into God’s heart. I also offer a free 20 minute consultation (via phone or Zoom) to determine if we would be a good fit to work together.

I love having the opportunity to encourage and listen to the heart of another through the disciplines of Spiritual Direction, Coaching, and Soul Care. You might envision these disciplines as sitting on a screened in porch, sipping sweet tea, and sharing heart to heart in unhurried conversation about your life as you respond to the gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit while growing in attentiveness and awareness of the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. It is my honor to walk with those who wish to discover deeper intimacy with Jesus.

I am a graduate of the Soul Shepherding Institute including their additional two-year Spiritual Direction certificate program and coaching course. I am available to meet in person or via Zoom. My home is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina where my husband and I offer a private spiritual retreat center devoted to Spiritual Direction, Coaching, and Soul Care. About Me

As a spiritual director, my desire is to help you become more aware of how God is weaving in and through your life.

I grew up in a Christian family, but it wasn’t until college that I began to understand Jesus’ invitation to personal relationship. Then teaching English in a Catholic school, and working in business, broadened my understanding of Jesus, of spiritual practices, and of the various ways God meets his people. I eventually was ordained to ministry within my local Christian Church in Southern California, where I served for a number of years.

I wanted to pursue training in Spiritual Direction, so I entered The Journey (offered through The Leadership Institute of Orange, CA.). Since then, God has provided opportunities to further expand my knowledge & experience, including attaining a Masters in leadership and ministry, completing the St. Ignatius exercises, and Enneagram certification. I presently am the Executor Director of The Unfolding Soul, a ministry to help people and those in ministry leadership become more deeply in love with Jesus, better navigate their life crossroads, and experience rest and spiritual renewal.

I would be honored to come alongside you as you pursue spiritual direction. Our monthly time together can help you process what’s stirring within, as you experience the goodness of God, the love of Jesus, and the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit. I am available to meet in person, over the phone, or via Zoom, whichever is your preference. (I know firsthand how this practice can have a spiritual impact in your life, for it certainly has in mine.)

I grew up and spent many years in Southern California and lived in the suburbs of Chicago for five years. 13 years ago I relocated to the Springfield/Eugene area of Oregon where I live with my pastor husband, Bruce and enjoy time with my grown children and grandchildren. I thoroughly enjoy outdoor activities, creative endeavors, reading, and always a good cup of tea.

Peter is the host and curator of a retreat space in downtown Tulsa, OK. He is most passionate about helping others slow down so they can listen to the work of God within themselves. His work experience includes a wide variety of ministry settings from a large, downtown church staff to campus ministry to non-profit to corporate chaplaincy.

He is a graduate of Sustainable Faith's school of spiritual direction and is a certified advanced teacher in the Enneagram Spectrum Method. He is an ordained deacon in the Anglican Church of North America and has a DMin in contextual theology from Northern Seminary and an MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary.

My passion is to walk alongside those who want to experience deeper spiritual transformation in Christ. In Spiritual Direction, we create space together to be curious about God's movement in the Directee's life. Whether a Directee is just beginning their spiritual journey, growing deeper in new ways, or deconstructing old beliefs, Spiritual Direction is a time set aside from the bustle of life, to hear and discern what the Lord has to say.

God has created each of us as his Beloved, uniquely gifted child. Created in His image, we have a divine purpose that only we can fulfill. He is always inviting us into a deeper relationship with Himself and as we learn more about Him, we learn more about our true selves. In turn, as we learn more about our authentic selves, we learn more about God. Through spiritual practices such as Lectio Divina, Visio Divina, Ignatian prayer, breath prayers, nature walks, centering prayer and Immanuel journaling - we can connect our head, heart, body and spirit to hear God's voice in fresh ways.

I received my Spiritual Director's training through Denver Seminary's Christian Formation and Soul Care program and have been a Spiritual Director since 2013. I am also a certified Enneagram coach through Jerome Wagner's Enneagram Spectrum Training.

Cofounder of CHAPELWOOD-Soul Restoration Project©, a retreat ministry in northern Vermont, primarily intended for those in Christian ministry but open to all who are seeking an opportunity for spiritual retreat, rest, and restoration. CHAPELWOOD provides respite, encouragement, and training to individuals, couples, and small groups.

I hold a Bachelor’s (Psychology), a Master’s (Theology), and a Doctorate (Spiritual Direction). Completed SoulFormation's Academy of Spiritual Formation and Direction (2nd Cohort), under the auspices of the NW District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA).

Ordained by the C&MA, I serve as Pastor of Care at Essex Alliance Church. I also provide individual spiritual direction on a limited basis and occasionally serve as a retreat facilitator.

Married, to Christine for 46 years. We have three adult children and five grandchildren.

Christina Wilking serves as a spiritual director in Charlotte, NC. She is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University majoring in Business Administration. While attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary she discovered her calling to become a spiritual director. She received her training through the Fairfield University four- year Spiritual Direction Formation Program. Christina also has received a Certificate from Sustainable Faith in Spiritual Direction Supervisory Training.

Christina served on staff at a large church for eighteen years as an assistant to the Senior Pastor and in addition served as a Hospital Chaplain, Pastoral Care Ministry Coordinator and as a Spiritual Director. In 2018, she started Wind and Breath Ministries to offer spiritual care to those who desire a deeper relationship with God and discern their next step in their faith journey. Christina specializes in helping those in ministry and non-profit organizations but her practice is open to all. She is available to meet in-person, by Zoom, and by phone. She is a member of Spiritual Directors International, Evangelical Association of Spiritual Directors and the Emmaus Center for Spirituality.

I served nearly 20 years on staff in a local church creating spiritually formative spaces for both children and adults. Along the way, I obtained an M.A. in Ministry and, with my husband, parented two children. My life was busy! I loved the busy life! Turns out, I loved it too much…

Exhaustion, in many forms, led me to Spiritual Direction. There I found the unhurried rhythms of sacred conversation which soothed my soul. Encountering the Spirit of God in this contemplative way opened my eyes and set my heart on fire. I now live a yielded life - anchored by hope, held by the embrace of mercy and grace, breathing deeply in a spacious place.

Following a season of rest and reflection, God has reoriented me. Contemplative practices like silence, nature walks, and breath prayers keep me rooted in one great love. These days, I sometimes have more questions than answers, more wonder than words. And I’m comfortable with that – content to be a beloved daughter journeying deeper into the heart of God.

In this new season of life, I have become a certified Spiritual Director myself so that I can better companion others on the journey. Some of my favorite authors from the contemplative realm are Henri Nouwen, Ruth Haley Barton, and Robert Mulholland. One last thing…the Enneagram and its potential for spiritual growth fascinates me. (I’m a 1w9).
