About Me

While on staff with Young Life, I had the gift of meeting with a spiritual director, which was especially helpful in a difficult season of ministry in my early 20s. Meeting her led to attending seminary at Fuller's regional campus in Colorado, which is where I met my husband, Bryan. My exposure to and passion for spiritual formation grew in my time at Fuller, with several professors who were also trained in spiritual direction. I felt the nudge and invitation from the Holy Spirit to pursue training in spiritual direction myself, longing to offer the same gifts I had been given to others as they need a safe space to prayerfully articulate the joys, sorrows, questions, doubts, and abundant grace of life in Christ.

After graduating, my husband and I relocated to California, where we both attended the two-year School of Spiritual Direction (SOSD) under Sustainable Faith. I completed Sustainable Faith's SOSD program in 2018, and I recently completed their supervision training as well. I'm the co-director of CURATE Ministries, alongside my husband Bryan, which is a soul care and spiritual formation ministry, dedicated to coming alongside others as they pursue new heights and depths in their spiritual lives.

God has used spiritual direction in such profound, unexpected ways in my own life--I can honestly say it's been a life-changing experience! I find the greatest joy in offering spiritual direction, and I come alive at the chance to walk alongside others in their relationships with God. I consider it holy ground. My heart as a spiritual director is simply to prayerfully listen to you as you share from your own prayer life and journey with Jesus, staying attuned to the Holy Spirit's voice, movements and graces in your life.

I am a mom to two beautiful girls, Evangeline and Lyla. Bryan and I also relocated to Colorado Springs and are enjoying being back in the Rocky Mountains.

My driving passion is to see people grow deeper in Christ. I am captivated by the reality that there is more of Christ and His love than we have experienced.

I grew up in Colorado Springs, enjoying the beautiful Rocky Mountains. After studying finance at the University of Colorado, I helped churches, non-profit organizations and individuals with stewarding their finances.

Shortly after graduating from college, I discerned a call to full-time pastoral work and enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary. While working on my Masters in Theology, I was introduced to the ministry of spiritual direction, and realized I had been serving as a spiritual director to others long before I formally knew what spiritual direction was. A few of my seminary professors were also trained in the ministry of spiritual direction, which offered a unique integration between theology and what it means to follow Christ in the day-to-day.

Upon graduating, my wife I moved to Auburn, CA to serve as the community life pastor in a local church. Shortly after moving to Auburn, I attended Sustainable Faith and completed my training in 2018. In addition to serving at the church, I enjoy offering spiritual direction, leading retreats and spiritual formation groups. I recently transitioned off of staff and am pursuing ordination in the Anglican Church and moved back to Colorado and I am pursuing my D.Min in Spiritual Formation at Denver Seminary. I meet with directees in person in Colorado Springs and online anywhere in the world.

I have a heart for pastors, missionaries, ministry leaders and anybody who heart a desire to grow deeper in Christ.

In 2020 I completed my training to become a supervisor. I greatly enjoy the privilege of walking alongside peers in this ministry, where we get the opportunity to attend to our own souls for the sake of those we care for and to grow in our skills to do so. "This is what my soul has been aching and longing for." Those were my thoughts after attending my first spiritual formation retreat in 2009. I've pressed in deeply on the spiritual journey ever since. I began serving in ministry right out of college in 1990 and I have many years of experience in different capacities of church ministry. However, there was a new awakening in my personal communication with our Triune God through spiritual formation practices of Lectio Divina, Visio Divina and Ignatian Prayer. I wanted to invite others into experiencing this kind of transformational intimate relationship with our Triune God too. With encouragement from my Spiritual Director, in 2018 I completed a two-year training as a Spiritual Director through SDI (Spiritual Direction Institute) and received training as a Chaplain through UCI (United Chaplains International).

Since 2016, I have been actively involved in JourneyMates, a Christian soul care and spiritual formation ministry, serving as a small group facilitator in group spiritual direction. I consider spiritual direction a humbling honor, as it provides a sacred space to prayerfully listen to one’s deepest concerns, longings, and desires for spiritual growth. My passion for the Word of God and unwavering love for our Triune God fuel my steadfast desire to encourage others to live in the fullness of who God created them to be, as Beloved sons and daughters of the King.

I love to see God reveal Himself to others, and it is a joy for me to encourage a life-giving connection to Him. Life is busy, hurried, and noisy at times. Through spiritual direction I love to offer a quiet and unhurried space to give thoughtful consideration to one’s life with God.

God longs to be gracious and compassionate to us. He has expressed His perfect love through Jesus Christ, and desires that we experience this love and be made whole and holy by it. Because of my own experiences of His life-changing grace, my passion is to see people of all ages experience Him intimately. As a spiritual director, it is my privilege to come alongside others to help them notice and be responsive to God's loving presence in all of life. Through reflecting on our life story, asking questions, and prayerful listening, we see evidence of God's grace. We notice together ways God is at work within and around us, and discern His direction and calling.

God desires to transform us more and more into the likeness of Christ. As a spiritual director, I support you as you open yourself to that deepening work, anchoring you in Biblical truth, so you can live into your full potential in Christ and then live that out in the world. Spiritual practices are offered that help you draw closer to God in ways that are meaningful for you.

I received my training in spiritual direction through Sustainable Faith, and have been practicing spiritual direction since 2012. I have also participated in a two-year spiritual formation program through the Transforming Center. In addition, I have been trained to use the Enneagram, a tool for spiritual transformation, facilitating groups and helping individuals to better understand their profiles.

I have been married for 31 years to a remarkable man, David. We have enjoyed the privilege of serving together in church ministry for nearly three decades. We have six wonderful adult children, all of whom I refer to as my greatest earthly treasures!

Trained at Sustainable Faith's School of Spiritual Direction in Cincinnati, Ohio, I've been offering spiritual direction to both groups and individuals since 2010. I am now an instructor for the school, training Cohorts in Portland, Seattle, Detroit, Nashville, and Cincinnati. I also served as a Vineyard pastor for nearly fourteen years.

Born in Hawaii, I grew up in a military family, so I lived in several different states. Five different Elementary Schools, two Middle Schools and three High Schools taught me the value of adaptability (among other things). I eventually followed my sweetheart, Tracey, from Oregon to Southern California where we were married in 1975. Together we raised three children, two of whom have increased the Henry tribe by marrying amazing spouses.

Originally ordained with Calvary Chapel after completing their bible college, I served as a worship leader at Calvary Chapel Valle Vista, and then worship Pastor at North Coast Calvary Chapel. On the winding path from California to Ohio I traversed multi-collar worlds: climbing up telephone poles, down into manholes, designing internet architecture for the phone company, and eventually pausing midlife to complete my Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems. (What a long, strange trip it's been ;)

In 2008 I was invited by Lyman Coleman to prototype a groundbreaking and transformative men’s retreat and group experience for the Vineyard, thus ruining me for traditional small groups and small talk forever. My love for "men's work" continues unabated, meshing wonderfully with the practice of spiritual direction.

I currently meet clients both online (via Facetime, Zoom, etc), and in person. I'm generally available during business hours on weekdays, with some exceptions. Richard Herman is a retired Presbyterian pastor with over 40 years of experience in pastoral ministry, who continues to serve God's people as a teacher and spiritual director. A graduate of Bucknell University (BA) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M. Div.), he is certified as a Spiritual Director by Oasis Ministries. He has also earned a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Theological Seminary subsequent to completing his D. Min at Fuller Theological Seminary, and is a trained Stephen Leader. Dick is married to Lissa and they have a married daughter and two granddaughters, who live nearby. He also enjoys taking walks and bird-watching with Lissa, travel in the Celtic lands of the UK, photography (nature and contemplative) and playing with both his granddaughters and a golden retriever named Winnie.

For Dick, spiritual direction is being a contemplative companion on a faith journey whose presence encourages listening intentionally for the quiet voice of the Shepherd that calls each of us by name, leads us out and sustains us. My name is Anya Louisa Hernandez and I’m a teaching artist and spiritual director. Before I discovered spiritual direction, I was a dance-theater performer and director. With a bachelor’s degree in theater, much of my worldview has been colored by a cultivated practice of presence with others, self, and questions at hand, knowing that they point to a larger story unfolding. Over the years, my artistic life has become inseparable from my Christian walk as I discovered the healing partnership of prayerful creativity and compassionate, embodied listening. Have you ever felt disconnected or alone? I've been there too. I thought I had the perfect life, until one day it all started to fall apart. On that day, my aunt died, my dad was admitted to the hospital, and my husband of over 20 years decided he wanted to separate. Since then, my dad has also died and my marriage ended in divorce. I have gone through the dark night of the soul (also called the valley of the shadow of death) and found God faithful through it all.

I would be honored to walk with you wherever you currently are in your journey with God. I will hold space with you and the Holy Spirit to help you to connect with Jesus. My goal is to create a safe place where I can help you to hear from Jesus, not to tell you what I think Jesus wants you to know. I cannot promise that you will hear from Jesus during a session for He's in control, not me. But I can lead you through practices that help people to connect with God.

I have a certificate in Spiritual Formation and the Art of Spiritual Direction from Healing Care Ministries. I also have a certificate in Formational Prayer from Ashland Theological Seminary and a BA with majors in psychology and economics from The Ohio State University.

My journey in spiritual direction started from a personal journey years ago as a successful pastor on the edge of burnout, who stepped away for a season in order to find my true self and put my personal relationship with Christ back in the center of my life, rather than ministry. Now I am blessed to serve only out of my passions & gifts.

Skilled at listening to people’s stories and helping directees and retreatants uncover the movement of God in them. Lots of experience working with people at all stages of their spiritual journey, from spiritual seekers to committed followers of Christ and all stages in between. Work with pastors in crisis & life transitions, and lead retreats for pastors and church leaders to rekindle a deep relationship with Jesus and creating more healthy, sustainable spiritual rhythms. Work with church boards & staffs to set up structures and speak on pastoral wellness. Also serve as a retreat speaker and provide marital/premarital Counseling (Prepare-Enrich Certified Coach for over 15 years).

Pastor for more than 25 years, ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church, currently on the pastoral staff of a large church in the Church of the Nazarene denomination.

Received my training from Fuller Seminary & from the Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction at North Park Theological Seminary. I am a member of the Covenant Association of Spiritual Directors, yet I also have extensive backgrounds in both Benedictine & Ignatian spirituality.

Outside of ministry, passionate loves are my wife, son & hiking/backpacking. My wife also provides support with couples spiritual direction.

I was originally born in Hong Kong, then later on studied oversea in Ontario, Canada for higher education.

In these forty plus years of this interesting journey of my Christian life, there were moments God purposefully and sovereignly allowed unexpected challenges in my life through which God used to lead me into full-time International Ministry, loving others and being hand and feet for Jesus. In heined-sight, God used this full-time ministry to lead me into life rewarding theological training, MA Spiritual Formation and Soul Care in Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. God also used this training to stretch and transform me further, and deepen my Christian journey.

As part of the community of Christ, it is my deepest passion to journey with others as a Spiritual Director, particularly in the Asian Community. I believe that Jesus can heal and bring hope to those who seeks after Him.

Since cross-cultural experiences brings me life and energies, I am totally comfortable with it and find it fascinating to interact with others. I am praying that God will bring blessings, growth, grace and hope to those who walk in this road less travel.

About Me

I have completed my spiritual direction training through Sustainable Faith’s two year School of Spiritual Direction. Throughout my 35+ years of student and pastoral ministry I have always been drawn to the aspect of spiritual formation of the heart and not just growth in knowledge. It wasn’t until two years ago that I was introduced to the practice of spiritual direction and actively pursued receiving spiritual direction and became engaged in the training.
I have my MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary and an MTh from Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary. I have been at my current position of associate pastor of a Lutheran church for over three decades. I am finding the tools of spiritual direction to be a significant enrichment to ministry and to life with the Lord.
My wife and I live in Poway, CA; we have three grown children who have families of their own (between their three families we have 12 grandchildren). I enjoy taking walks with my wife, running, yardwork and puttering around the house.
My desire in conducting spiritual direction is to create a safe place for individuals to listen to what God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is speaking into their life and to pursue their God-given call in life; to discover a deeper intimacy with the Lord. I meet with both male and female directees in person, via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype.

About Me

I am retired after 35 years in cross cultural misssions. In "retirement", I am active in offering spiritual direction, leading retreats and training cohorts to grow through contemplative practices and to be spiritual companions for others. It is a joy to me that all of the training and retreat opportunities are done with my wife, Patty, who is also a spiritual director. We were both trained in spiritual direction through Sustainable Faith, in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2016. We are living near and volunteer at the Hermitage, a wonderful retreat center in Three Rivers, Michigan.
Spiritual direction has had a transformative impact on both my wife and me and has been a huge blessing in deepening our own awareness of God and growth in our love and obedience to him. It has also been extremely rewarding to listen well to directees and to the Holy Spirit and to see, on a regular basis, the Holy Spirit give directees freedom and a growing intimacy with God that results in transformation.

Brian Hohmeier, OCL, is a vowed member and spiritual direction coordinator for the Order of the Common Life. He was trained by the Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction (Vineyard USA) and holds an M.A. in Theology (Fuller Theological Seminary) as well as a graduate certificate in directing the Spiritual Exercises (Evangelical Seminary) and IFS Level 1 certificate (Central Connecticut State University).

While rooted in the evangelical tradition, his study and practice is largely formed by Ignatian spirituality, including the Spiritual Exercises, and he directs personalized 19th Annotation retreats each year, beginning in October.

Brian is also director of curriculum and an instructor for OCL's School of Formation.

Hello! I'm a Memphis resident who grew up in Wisconsin and have been part of the Church of Christ tradition my whole life. I attended seminary in Memphis and currently serve as a minister at a Church of Christ in the Memphis area. I primarily work with young adults and facilitate outreach ministry. I've been in ministry since 2015.

After working for several years in ministry, I completed training for spiritual direction through Lipscomb University. Spiritual direction has changed my life because it helped me move from a head knowledge about God to a heart felt encounter with God. I see the hunger and need for this in those I help minister to––be they young adults, refugees, those battling addiction––and I believe an encounter with the living God is key to our transformation.

In short, I have a passion to partner with people who are hungering in their soul for something real. I desire to meet with these people as Jesus has met me and ultimately help them see God's presence in their lives. Not with something novel or bigger or better; rather, with something real. Real community. Real conversations. Real intimacy with the Father, Son, and Spirit. I believe this can truly transform lives and satisfy our deepest longings. This can only happen by the power of the Spirit, our true Director.

Hi, I’m Eryn! I am a graduate of Talbot's Institute for Spiritual Formation. I am in full-time ministry as a pastor at a local church and a Staff Spiritual Director at Biola University as well. I appreciate how Margaret Guenther says that spiritual direction involves “recognizing God's amazing work in us and among us in the ordinariness of human existence.” As I believe that God is always with us and at work in our lives, Spiritual Direction provides a safe and confidential space for you to show up just as you are, bringing various aspects of your life; a space to be heard and understood.

As a Spiritual Director, I find it a joy and honor to come alongside another in his or her spiritual journey. My hope is to hold your story as we seek God's presence and movement in your life together. About Me

In one sense, my spiritual direction journey began in the dark. In my walk with God, I have experienced several extended dark night seasons that taught me to listen, let go and learn. I have been learning to listen in the dark, straining my ears to hear the voice of Love. In that learning journey, I have learned to listen with and for others, inviting them into a deeper form of listening to and for themselves. As I sought safe places for myself and those closest to me, I found myself becoming a safe place of listening hospitality. People who are struggling or questioning often find solace walking with me, grounded and welcome as they are.

I am a recovering Evangelical who deeply loves that “stream of living water” and longs to see it renewed. Spiritual Direction and poetry have come together in my soul as I seek renewal in community, to offer wells of renewal and capacities for re-imagining wonder, trust and belonging especially as it relates to the Christian Scriptures. I tend to approach conversations poetically, looking for the lyric of God as he sings his song in the life of another. I am captivated by His word in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece,” (NLT) which reimagines each life through the lens of beauty. The Greek word used here is Poiema, where we get our English word, ‘poem,’ implying God’s work of art.

I have participated in several training journeys in spiritual formation and direction that have helped solidify this calling:

2008-2010 - Deeper Journey, a two year, eight retreat learning community through Crosspoint Ministries.

2017-2019 Renovare Institute, a two-year learning experience with four weeklong residencies

2021-2023 - Spiritual Direction certification through Portland Seminary in Portland, OR.
