Wealth and the Kingdom
“How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” I’ve heard that passage my whole life, and I’ve heard the same interpretation of it each time. But I’m really questioning that interpretation now.

A Little Taste of Heaven
Imagine having many of your closest family and friends gathered for one weekend to celebrate love. It was heavenly. There were moments when I looked around and was filled with such joy to have wonderful people in our lives.

Even now as we are trying to get acclimated, they continue to offer suggestions for services and locations, and are introducing us to other people in the area, which will potentially expand our community
Community and My Changing Heart
I love how God brings various pieces of our lives together. I noticed this was happening for me last week when I was scheduled to write this reflection piece for ECSW, I was also asked to come and shoot a two minute video for my church.
I Stink at Community
And frankly, I’m not particularly good at forging relationships. I’m an introvert, and I spent a good chunk of my time as a kid uncertain of what to do in social situations—freezing or doing nothing—which left me off to the side and never really learning some of those instinctive things we all are supposed to pick up about how to build bridges with people and form community.
