This week I’m working my way through the effects of a lie. My historical response to being lied to hasn't been stellar so I've really been praying and asking to understand, rather than react, to the emotions that are surfacing in my heart.

Simple Acts

Last week marked the thirteenth year since that terrible September day in 2011. Each anniversary as the horrific images once again scroll across computer and TV screens I am profoundly reminded of the grief and loss.


While I came to Texas with an understanding that I wouldn’t know but a couple people, I didn’t really consider the impact of how my not being known by others would feel.


What a great comfort it was to be reminded that He is at work fixing all the boundaries needed in my life. My part is to seek and discern where His hand has drawn them.
